In Greek mythology, Apollo had a special bow he would use in his war against the titans. This is where we got the inspiration for B.O.W., which is an acronym that stands for Bridging Opportunities Worldwide.
So, we encourage our students to shoot for the stars.
THE APOLLO’S B.O.W. FOUNDATION
WHO WE ARE
Our Roots
The Apollo’s B.O.W. Foundation was founded because we believe every kid deserves an opportunity to get access to scholarships and resources they need to chase their dreams.
From very humble beginnings in rural Alabama, our founder, Apollos Abercrombie, was able to shoot for the stars because of the many family, friends, and mentors who supported him throughout the years. Now, we want to partner with you to give others those same opportunities.
WHAT WE DO
SCHOLARSHIPS
We accept rising senior applications to attend 4 year college, 2 year community college, and trade/technical schools.
MENTORSHIP
Isaac Newton, one of the greatest minds of the last millennium once said, “I have seen so far because I have stood on the shoulders of giants.”
Our goal is pull through and retention rates for our scholarship recipients.
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES.
We acknowledge that with such a competitive job market, it is hard for students to get a dream job without experience, but the dichotomy is, how can they possibly get experience if they do not get the job?
We want to remedy that by offering a flexible internship to give students tangible skills to be competitive

“He took a few cups of love. He took one tablespoon of patience, one teaspoon of generosity, and one pint of kindness. He took one quart of laughter and one pinch of concern. And then, he mixed willingness with happiness. He added lots of faith, and he stirred it up well. Then he spread it over a span of a lifetime, and he served it to each and every deserving person he met"
